This world is very dynamic. Different kinds of new Changes are happening day by day.Today's Managers are facing lots of behavioural challenges and issues within the organization. At the same time , that challenges become opportunities for the organization. Some of the Challenges and opportunities for Organizational Behaviour (OB) or we can say Critical Behavioural Issues Confronting the Manager are as follows:

1. Responding to Globalization
This is the time of Globalization. Organization is becoming global. Organization is expanding it business to others countries. It is doing business activities in the foreign countries also. Different countries have their own norms and values, beliefs, symbols, cultures etc. They directly and indirectly affect the decision-making process and styles. The challenge for the managers are to manage the cross cultural differences, employee dissatisfaction, motivate the employees etc. If managers can manage these challenges properly, i would be benefited for the employees and organizations. Organization can increase the profit. Employees can get the opportunities to learn new things.

2. Managing Workforce Diversity
Another challenge for OB is to manage diversified workforce. Diversified workforce means differences in age, gender, caste, religion, ethnicity, and physical abilities & disabilities. There are increasing the number of women, average age of employees, number of foreigners etc. Different kinds of employees have their own life style, choice, needs , work styles. This may bring conflict, employee turnover, ineffective communication etc.in the organization. If workforce diversity is managed properly it would be increased creativity and innovations.

3. Improving Quality and Productivity
Improving quality and productivity is also another challenge for the organization. In this competitive market, making quality of the product is very essential. Increasing quality can help to increase the productivity. Globalization forces to improve the quality of the product. Today's customers are very aware about the product. They are searching for quality product. So managers need to motivate employees towards the work so that they can increase their efforts to improve the quality of the product. It will help to sell more product and increase the revenue of the organization.

4. Improving Customer Services
Customers buy the product of those company who provides better services to the Customer. There may be different types of customers. Some of the customers wants cheaper products and some wants high quality and expensive products. Making the Customers satisfaction is not easy task for the manager. Customers buy again and again from same company if the company provides better services in terms of respect, quality, faster servicing, credit facilities etc. Managers need to focus on improvement of the customer services. If Oraganization becomes the better customer service provider it will increase the customer of the organization and this leads to the higher sells and profit.

5. Improving People Skills
Managers must give priority to the improvement of skills of their employees. Improving the skills of employees is very essential to improve the effectiveness of the organization. Skill is very powerful thing which brings the company to the next level. Managers should provide different kinds of training for improving the skill of the employees. Managers should place right person to the right position. If the employees are skilled well, it would be benefited to the organization.

6. Managing Organizational Change
Change is inevitable. Technology is rapidly changing. Managers should be aware of the change. Managers need to make the organization as learning organization. Learning organization means adopting the changes to improve the performance of the organization. Managers need to know about resistance to change and how to overcome it. If managers become success to manage the organizational change, it will help to improve the performance of the organization and increase the customer satisfaction.

7. Creating a Positive Work Environment
Creating a positive work environment is also another challenge for the managers. Managers need to create a such work environment in which employees willingly work and complete their task, employees feel job satisfaction, there is less employee turnover etc. Mangers should clearly define the tasks of the employees. Work or task of the employees should not be overloaded.

8. Improving Ethical Behaviour
Ethical behaviours are the norms, values, rules and regulations of the organization. It is the belief of the person about right or wrong , good or bad. Ethics of the organization should be clearly defined. Managers should provide training and seminar to improve the ethical behaviour of the employees. Employees should know how to behave with different people within the organization.

In conclusion, Becoming manager is not easy. Managers have many responsibilities. Today's managers are facing lots of challenges in the organization. These challenges are also considered as critical behaviour issues confronting the managers. If these issues and challenges are managed properly, it will be the opportunities for the organization.
